Fee: $450 but if registration is paid by September 21st then the fee is $425. Included is a self care manual and a 30 minute personal education session with an Arvigo® Practitioner. Meals are available at nearby restaurants.
The focus of this course is on the Maya ways of healing including: massage, herbs, nutrition, emotional connections, and spiritual aspects as taught to Rosita Arvigo, a Doctor of Naprapathy, in Belize by traditional healers including Shaman Don Elijio Panti and Midwife Hortence Robinson.
Instructor: Connie Coker MSN CNM Licensed Midwife, with over 30 years experience in women’s holistic health care. She is a Certified Arvigo® Practitioner and Self Care Instructor and currently operates Integral Women’s Wellness in South Nyack, NY.
The class will include a review of the anatomy and physiology of the abdominal and reproductive organs of women and men, the causes and symptoms of displaced organs which impacts the flow of blood, lymph, nerves, and chi. We will cover a variety of health issues and how to address them using the Arvigo® techniques. You will learn how to perform the Maya Abdominal Therapy on yourself.
This Level 1 Self Care Training also provides the required foundation for those licensed healthcare practitioners who may quality to enroll in a Level 2 Arvigo® Professional Training and become practitioners.
Completion of this Self Care course awards continuing education credits to some healthcare practitioners: NCBTMB for massage therapy: 17.5 CE hours, NCAAOM for acupuncture: 18 PDA points, MEAC for midwives: 17 Contact Hours
