This 20-30 minute class led by Fallon Aiello will begin with pranayama (breath work), followed by a gentle yet engaging asana practice for expecting women and new moms (and babes too!).
Gentle yoga classes are typically described as appropriate for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. We will work on poses that help alleviate common ailments in pregnant/postpartum bodies, as well as learn simple breathing and movement techniques to help with the day-to-day stresses surrounding motherhood. Our short practice will cultivate a strong connection between parent & baby, both inside and outside the womb. Please bring a mat if you have one.
11 am - 1 pm first Sunday of the month at the YMCA (Alex's Place) starting with a 15-minute informational session followed by food and mingling.
Partners and infants welcome.
Please bring a dish to share (or not).
